Join Play-Well TEKnologies and VALA Art Center for a free workshop using the LEGO® Building System to create a kinetic art sculpture! Explore concepts in physics, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, and architecture while playing with your favorite creations. Utilizing thousands of LEGO® parts, we strive to build students’ problem-solving skills, foster a greater appreciation of how things work, and encourage the qualities of inquisitiveness, self-reliance, and self-confidence in children. We will start with a 2D or 3D art piece created out of LEGO by the participants. The sculpture can be photographed by the VALA Staff and used in the Art Center’s gallery, during the Kinetic Art exhibit.
*Note*: Sculptures will be taken apart and left with the Play-Well staff at the end of the workshop.
